On April 18, 2026, the GoVia Highlight A Hero initiative will host a landmark community forum titled “Justice in the Amphitheater: A GoVia Community Dialogue on Tech, Trust, and Safer Policing.” The event will take place at Case Western Reserve University’s Veale Center, Multipurpose Room 201A, from 4–6 PM, with a virtual option via Zoom for those joining remotely.
Founded by Georgio Sabino III, GoVia stands at the intersection of public safety and innovation. The platform enables real-time, transparent communication between citizens and law enforcement, designed to promote mutual accountability and reduce tension during police encounters. GoVia’s “Highlight A Hero” project uses human stories — from both officers and citizens — to rebuild trust through education, empathy, and visibility.
This upcoming forum invites a wide coalition of voices: activists, attorneys, journalists, students, local police departments, and city officials. Together, they’ll explore how technology can sustain ethical policing, protect lives, and restore confidence in justice systems. Attendees can expect candid discussions on digital equity, public oversight, and how new tools like GoVia can reinforce safety for all.
Sabino, serving as speaker and guest, will guide the conversation toward solution-building and highlight how Cleveland’s civic community can lead national progress in transparent policing. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and envision practical collaborations rooted in accountability, empathy, and reform.
