Breaking News – On Education

GoVia’s “Highlight A Hero” is more than a community-police safety app; it is a comprehensive, multi-tiered educational ecosystem designed to empower individuals aged 12–29 and beyond while transforming how justice professionals operate. What it is: A groundbreaking safety education curriculum and technology platform that bridges the gap between civilians, law enforcement, legal advocates, and support services.

How it works: The platform delivers specialized, interactive learning modules tailored to every stakeholder. For youth and college students (in K-12, after-school programs, and universities), the “Citizen & Scholar Curriculum” teaches digital self-defense, 5-step traffic stop protocols, and constitutional rights (e.g., Glik v. Cunniffe), empowering the next generation to be informed, proactive advocates.

For reentry populations, GoVia provides an 8-module pre-release curriculum starting 90 days before release, covering supervised police encounters, mental health trauma, ID and car navigation.

Simultaneously, it upskills professionals through targeted learning tech: law enforcement receives training on the GoVia Officer Dashboard and mental health coordination; attorneys learn to leverage GoVia’s Certified Digital Evidence Submission Portal (CDESP) for ethical motion practice; and bail bondsmen utilize geo-fence compliance systems for seamless, supportive client check-ins.

Why it matters: By equipping young minds, returning citizens, and justice professionals with shared knowledge and real-time tools, GoVia replaces adversarial friction with data-driven accountability and mutual understanding.

This holistic, educational approach ensures that whether a user is a college student advocating for policy reform, an individual navigating reentry, or a professional ensuring ethical compliance, everyone is empowered to co-create a safer, more transparent, and just community.
